We are an all-female service company. We roster no one. We are aware that many clients have a director and/or a producer they want to bring to the table. We fill the holes that need filling. We LIKE to collaborate.

We started this company because we were tired of it. Tired of “the boys” being chosen over more competent women in our industry. Tired of standing by helplessly while we watched money, time, and talent get wasted due to incompetence and inflated egos.

Damsel is a carefully curated team of hard-working, talented, and extraordinary women. Most of us are moms. Most of us are the breadwinners in our families. We are a team of female directors, DP’s, photographers, production designers, artists, producers, writers, graphic designers, locations managers, and gaffers — each with over a decade of industry experience — many of us lifelong friends. We help each other at work and in life. Problems are not problems for any of us. No one says no (except maybe the line producer). We find solutions, we do it calmly, we’re kind to one another, and we make sure that on every single job we do, people are blown away. Repeat clients are what we pride ourselves on, and we think that speaks for itself.

We are small by design. We carry a small overhead for a reason. We’re efficient and effective. We strive for nothing less than perfection, and we always make it look easy.

Courtney

Our bestie when it comes to still photography. She graduated from Emerson College and dove into an on set feature film career on little known projects like The Town, Shutter Island, and Moonrise Kingdom. After five years of Feature Films, she pivoted her talents to travel and lifestyle photogrpahy- a decision that has taken her to 5 Continents on behalf of brands ranging from Lenovo to Mercedes Benz to Puma to The Girl Scouts of America. When she's not behind the camera, she is out living her best Maine life with her family. Some say her IG feed is enough to make you jealous. You tell us @courtperkins
